If you're in the market for a new mobo, this may be a good deal. I dont know a whole lot about it but for 70...not bad....95 before MIR

It is a decent board, the only thing missing really is no display port but that is not relevant with everyone. As per the norm, MIR with Asrock has a time requirement, you need to mail out MIR form within 10 days of the purchase date on the invoice or it might be rejected.

Would this be ok as a Plex server ?
Coupled with something like a 2200G or 2400G, yeah, it would be a decent server.

Notes:
MIR needs to be postmarked within 10 days of the invoice date. So, if it takes more than 10 days for you to receive it and test it, lol.
RMA is handled by 3rd party is Ontario; apparently the service is horrendous.
Despite what Newegg says; Asrock site says the warranty period is 24 months (2 years) vs. the 3 years from the other 3 brands.
Quality from Asrock matches the price; cheap.

From my past experience 2/2, I received my rebate no problem. The time requirement is actually "you need to mail out MIR form within 10 calendar days of the purchase date on the invoice or the date that you received the item by courier (tracking record.)"

There is no record for regular posted mail though? How would they know? I thought I read it needed to be received within 10.

So for these type of purchases, is there a tracking number and information? If so, maybe a good idea to take screen shots should you have to fight for the rebate. Just think that's terrible mir conditions. Will asrock and how long do they typically take to release an updated bios to support their new ryzen 3 series APU?

First, the 10 days starts on the day you receive the item. ( Purchased from the shop or Received by courier, these can be proved by receipt or courier tracking record)
Second, when you send the MIR to them using regular posted mail, make sure to head to Canada post and have a machine stamp on your envelop. (Make sure to take a photo of the stamped envelop).

Had a 2400G in my plex server for a while. It was great, especially if you enable hardware accelerated transcoding. If you're using hardware acceleration, even a 200GE should be able to handle it. the included Video Core Next is great on these new APUs.
