Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been using it for over a year and it’s good for what it is. But in 2019 you should probably expect more for the price, or maybe spend a bit more for something better. There was a 144hz 32in 1440p monitor going for $400 recently.

bought this while on sale in bestbuy for 400+tax
for $400, you can now get Acer 32 IPS monitor with 144HZ
300 is not very attractive in my opinion

If you're looking for a 32" IPS 1440p monitor, I would suggest going for an AOC Q3279VWFD8 which goes for $330-340 new. Same size and resolution, but also comes with 10-bit color, 75 Hz refresh rate, and Freesync. Superior to the VA32AQ in my opinion. The main drawback to the AOC is that it is not VESA-compatible. You would have to purchase an adapter for that.

Best place to grab one imo is at Staples for $339.99 since you can return it in-store if you don't like it: https://www.staples.ca/en/aoc-q3279vwfd ... CA_1_20001

Making me drive to Richmond Hill, returning the Asus and getting the AOC.

Warranty is worth it.

But this is the cheapest 32" 1440p currently right now.
Sadly the 90 day warranty isnt worth it.

Here's one, it's VA though not IPS.

I ordered it last week: LG 32GK650F-B $399.99 @ Staples

You can save a little more if you can find a staples -$15 coupon (or better), plus a few bucks ebates! A quick search shows its a summer 2018 model. If you do any gaming, the Nvidia Freesync unlock is extra nice.
The QHD 32GK650F combines AMD Radeon FreeSync technology with a 144Hz refresh rate, blur reduction and Dynamic Action Sync for smooth gameplay with virtually no tearing. Gamer-focused features like the customizable Game Mode and Crosshair are accessible via a user-friendly interface.

31.5-inch anti-glare LED LCD VA panel gaming monitor
2560 x 1440 display resolution
3000:1 contrast ratio
178-degree Horizontal/178-degree Vertical viewing angle
Ports: HDMI, DisplayPort

I can attest to the legitimacy of the LG 32GK650F deal. I bought an MSI curved 32" 144hz va and ive been testing in the last week. horrible color. And bad freesync flicker in games with my vega. Got the LG setup yesterday as it finally arrived. As soon as I turned it on, color was phenomenally better than the MSI and ZERO flicker with freesync. worked fluidly. There is a sharpness adjustment which the MSI did not have. It was brighter also. Solid buy at 400

And related to this thread, my lady has the Asus downstairs. Got for 299 new at bestbuy. It's ok for 299. I honestly feel like the colors on my LG are better for w/e reason. Text on the asus doesn't seem as good either.
