Newegg.ca - HIS Radeon 5850 $279 | Bewawa.com Sapphire 5850 $285 ($5 ship)
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...W5B-_-14161302
Use promo code CEMCYNYP64 at checkout to remove the extra 20$. My total is $307.34 shipped to Montreal, Quebec. Also comes with Dirt 2 (as i've read in the reviews).

The Sapphire 5850 at bewawa is 285$, and shipping is 5$ flat i beleive, pretty good also if you don't have to pay the taxes (plus it comes with dirt 2 as well);

And these graphic cards overclock like beasts, got my sapphire 5850 to 870/1220 with low temps/no voltage increases.Last edited by billsan101; Feb 3rd, 2010 at 11:31 AM.

do you guys think I should wait until the nvidia release something? I'm currently running a 9800GT, would I notice a difference with these cards? (playing mostly L4D2 and MW2)

Note that the nvidia cards will be somewhat more expensive then the 300$ current high-end ati cards. You can always be waiting for a better card to come out.
Depends how you like the current framerate/graphics settings, but a 5850 compared to a 9800gt, the 5850 would win hands down.
View the cards compared (late 2009):

A 9800GT for those games is alright. I know people still playing those with much older cards.
Wait until late spring to see some major price drops with ATI.
If Nvidia's new platform is that impressive and offers an excellent price/performance product, it couls be a good choice but I highly doubt that will happen. Wait for the new Nvidia GPU's shows it's nose then buy an ATI 58xx when they drop.
