Haven't had any issues here. I've heard of this locking with some other seagate externals, but the disk inside this is a samsung m9t, so maybe it is different.

second that.. it took me about 10 minutes to pry it slowly, wanted to reuse the case again :lol: works great on the ps4. amazon also has it for $99 now, got in on this drive when it was $79.99 a few months ago..
