Are there two types of Kodak Zi8's?

Yeah, I was about to buy it when I noticed that...

I'm just wondering whether there's a huge difference between the two, but couldn't find any relevant information. Is the 1.6 MP the former version of the Zi8 (couldn't find it on kodak's digital store)?

Also, wouldn't the difference only have an impact on pictures? I'd most likely use the cam for video only...
