[Newegg] Gamdias Achilles E3 RGB Gaming Chair - $109.99 after rebate

Saw this as a latest price drop on Price Dropper website. Clicked into it and looks like there is a further $50 rebate off $159.99 which makes this quite a good deal.

I believe the lowest recent price for this was $129.99 ($179.99 before rebate) back in early January. Newegg website shows this deal is only available for 3 more hours though, not sure how true that is.

Never owned a gaming chair, does it suppose give more support on the back? What else makes it so special?

Some offer lumbar support such as the Secretlab Titan and the Noble Hero. A good quality chair will cost much more than this one advertised....

Like any good computer chair they should be designed for anyone who's expecting to spend hours in front of a computer. Comfort, arm, back support are all factors. As usual you get what you pay for.

Plus, the gaming chairs look cooler, especially when matched with a high end gaming PC setup.

Agreed! I suppose the one posted would make a good candidate for someone who's looking to try it out before splurging for a higher end one. Or if they are upgrading from a really budget chair, this would probably be a good bang for the buck.

I've heard this company gives you a hard time for MIR's.

Zero lumbar support...

All gaming chairs are made for the visual aesthetics, not for seating comfort.

Not ALL gaming chairs... Some have proper office certifications like Secretlab and Noblechairs. These include DIN EN 1335 certification and BIFMA accreditation for office chairs.

no to newegg rebates.
I don't trust newegg either. I purchased several qualifying components when building a new PC recently that should have granted me a code for Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Newegg would not honor the Asus sanctioned promotion, so I had to contact Asus directly and inform them of the runaround from newegg, to which they honored the promotion themselves...

Not sure about rebates, but it was PIA to deal with DOA and product missing parts. I stopped shopping at newegg after the horrible experience

I have this chair. Got it on the last sale. One gripe is the seat. It's too soft. I'm not heavy and I sink down to the hard base

This is often the problem with cheaper chairs. Better chairs like those I mentioned above use cold-cured foam that will last much longer...

this is why ill never buy a gaming chair, people always complaining, they start to sink and the height adjustment doesnt hold up or the foam becomes usless after 6 months
