Darn is this a better deal than the 229$? It comes with a controller (50$) and has built-in ir (flirc = 30$) so 229$ + 50$ + 30$ = 309$ so this is a better deal if you don't factor the hard-drive (more space but not ssd).

If Memory Express will price match that offer, might be worth it to get it retail (e.g. ship from another store, order another, etc. if you aren't in the Vancouver metro region):

We have this and it's been amazing. The latest update I think is the best since I've had it.

Must admit they don’t have the best policies. A few years ago I purchased an Surface Pro and A took forever to ship. Then I had an issue with the screen. Then slow processing of return shipping and processing.

But the Pro price seems pretty decent lol.

They have a warehouse in Markham. If you are in the GTA, the shipping only takes a few days. Been pretty good so far, ordered 5 or 6 items recently.

I have a steam link and it works great on Ethernet. I also have an old WD media player with USB that plays every file format up to 1080p. Is there any reason for me to buy this?

I know the Shield is a highly regarded device but there are many 1 star reviews on Newegg. Should one be concerned or do these people just don’t know what they are doing?

Thanks!
