I can't speak for the other models, but that's regular price for the 250evo.

Not exactly cheap even though they are NVME, on paper or benchmark they are faster than SATA SSD but in real life not that much, you can barely feel it unless you have programs that require the speed, I would say not worth it. No offense.

The 250 and 500 look like the regular price on these - not sure about the 1000 though.
I kind of wished NVMe drives would fall in price faster..

Not likely. There are reports of DRAM and NAND shortages brewing.

Ummm... what? The source of shortage is coming from Micron. Besides they're too busy dealing with Toshiba right now.

You just have a personal agenda against WD don't you.

hardly, and WD is well known (and has faced heavy fines) for creating "fake crises" in the HD market to enable price fixing and massive profits, just as Micron, SK Hynix and Samsung have done in the DRAM market.

I have the 512GB version. Crystal Disk mark shows read/write speeds in the 837/783 MB/s range. My Samsung 512GB 950 Pro on another machine is 834MB Read and 805MB write.

that's the regular price on 250 and 500, can't remember the 1tb exactly it was out of my budget but it's slightly cheaper. I think it was up around 700 a month ago.

Timbo420 your speeds are wacked out. Make sure you have Gen3 enabled in your bios or you might have too many PCIe devices and out of lanes. You should be getting almost 3x those speeds.

I bought the 1TB for $619 in March - that was the regular price at the time. So this regular price "deal" has actually gone up...

Newegg wouldn't pricematch due to being below their cost. Bought the 500GB and used $25 off. Wouldn't let me stack a $10 off $100 code Newegg gave me on last order.
