Thanks for the links but those are used and still $100+ more expansive than this one.
I will probably go with this one or wait for BF deals.
no problem the v20 is awesome you'll love it.

This is the H910 model which was made for ATT and sold unlocked.

I bought a similar model from Target and it's bootloader locked unless you found one with Dec 2016 firmware then you could use Dirry Santa to unlock.

From reviews I see it being compared to pixel 1 and iphone 7. More comparable to s7 than s8.

Really want to grab this, but the thought of not having warranty coverage worries me. Imagine something goes wrong shortly after the 30 days exchange-policy expires. You'r essentially on the hook for any repair costs...

I don't know how it would work.
There is no warranty, so 0 * anything = 0

The v20 has a SD820. The S8 has an SD835 (Exynos comparable). SD835 > SD820.
The v20 is comparable to the Pixel 1. Comparing to the iPhone 7 is like...well comparing Apples to Android.
Value-wise, the v20 is better than all of those.

I don't see why ext. warranty won't work. It's a new device.

It's AT&T unlocked. I think it's US warranty only.

From MC Canada websites's CC info.:

"Extended warranty

Doubles the original manufacturer's or store brand warranty for up to one year when you pay with your eligible Mastercard."

It doesn't say the manufacturer's warranty has to be serviced in Canada. ( I don't have the MC TOC on paper to verify.) You can argue. Also, newegg.ca is Canadian.
One time I had to get a repair for a monitor. They didn't have a repair depot in Canada, so I sent it to the US. The monitor was bought here.

Someone convince me the warranty won't be an issue and I will never need warranty in the first place!

I guess my anecdotal may help, but I am an LG G3 user for a very long time now, and will be buying this as it has everything I want in a phone it seems..

I will try something else if it dies, its pretty cheap - not a huge deal. This + a OP5T will be like an S8+... might as well try to save money
