[Newegg] MSI GeForce GTX 1660 - newegg.ca $324.99

Was looking into a new graphics card and saw this one.

Price seemed pretty good compared to others.

Where does the 1660 rank... are we talking a supercharged 1050TI?

The RX 570 is the same as the GTX 1660, and it's only $179 with free games.

Was just going to post a Tech Deals video on this, but it looks like they've taken the video down.

In terms of performance (ignoring price) it doesn't appear that way, even from your link. *quote edited

The 1660 is generally better than the 1060, and the 1660 Ti is supposed to be closer to the 1070 (but still marginally worse).

This card isn't much better than a 1060 6GB or RX 580. $300+ for that kind of performance in 2019 isn't that appealing.

At least wait for a sale. you could get a vega 56 for 360 dollars a couple of days ago on amazon.

1660ti is pretty much the same performance as a 1070. 1660 falls between a 1060 6gb and the ti.

The GTX 1660 is much faster than a rx 570.

37% faster is the difference between an rx 570 and GTX 1660. 100/73.

Game-debate is a trash website.

When this card is fully overclocked it's as fast as a GTX 1660 ti which is basically a GTX 1070.

It's one of the better overclockers this generation because of how much it gains from memory overclocking.

As seen from this chart, even a 360 dollars for the RX Vega 56, has the same price to performance as this card. E.g RX Vega is 56 is 20% faster but also 20% more expensive. Considering the RX Vega 56 at 360 is limited quantity firesale pricing, the GTX 1660 is not a bad buy if you can find it for 300.

newegg-xfx-radeon-rx-580-gts-black-edit ... #p30507861

Considering we still think its a hot deal to buy a rebranded 3 year old card in the RX 580, paying a little under 20% more money for 20% more performance is not a bad deal.
