Noticed on the picture, 1 HDMI, 1 dvi and 3 DP ports. DP connectors /adaptors are not as common as HDMI.

That is pretty standard configuration for pretty much any video cards. Usually you just get one HDMI and one DVI, the rest are all DP. Been like this for years now.

Based on the 1 star review for the free game code, im assuming the code can't be sold?
I rarely ever game but my 660ti is having issues every so often where the screen goes black for a second, a few times, when I play videos

Great card, I have the 4gb version and Ive maxed out most games at 1080p. Most intense game to run so far has been just cause 3 and that's mainly because you need like 16gb of ram to play it, AND load the game from an SSD drive.

You could probably play alot of > 2 year old games at 4k res no problem. Newer games will probably struggle on this card at 4k res though...but if that's important then you should be looking at getting the Vega 64 or 1080 graphics cards for $700

Very tempting...With the 590 out now, should the 580 cards dip below $200 soon?

I have a 2400G and I'm not really sure what the best card to get would be. I don't want to spend a crazy amount, but I would like to get something future proof.

The other issue is I'm not sure which card would compliment my CPU. As in, what GPU would be held back by the CPU?

Are you me? This is my experience with the 4GB RX 480, and like you my only iffy experience was Just Cause 3 due to a lack of RAM. But even that wasn't too bad.

It's a perfectly fine card for maxing most games at 1080p at 60fps or more. At 1440p or greater I'd look elsewhere unless your games aren't very demanding.

I saw news on nvidia supporting free sync monitors. My monitors werent on it. Still leaning towards AMD seems cheaper. I don't think a lot of games perform better with crossfire. 580s, not sure. Anyways screen tearing / black screen? New card and free sync monitor could be a improvement. That's what I'm looking at for dual monitors 1080p

This should already be below $200. This is by nvidia's and amd's own admission a below medium end card. By nvidia's standards far below medium end. If it meets your needs right now then it's fine.

if I upgrade from RX560 to this, does it sound silly?

It’s high-end 1080p performance. Sure, it won’t do 4K, but that’s not the product class it’s in.

It’s a big jump. I’d wait a generation if you can delay an upgrade another 6 months or so.

The 8 gigs suggests they are somewhat targeting 4k crowd. This is too slow for 4k.

This indeed a pretty good price but I would like to wait until it drops more. It is a bit better than NVidia 1060 and is the min requirement for VR headsets.

I prefer cards with at least two HDMIs for both of my monitors. And then the VR headset needs one. I have to get a DP to HDMI adapter to use the VR headset.
