[Newegg] Orico USB 3.0 2.5" enclosure with UASP for $10 FS, USB C version for $13

These are on sale again, can't remember last time it was, but for $10 and FS, probably one of the best deals around, especially with UASP.

I found the type C edition for $6 more but it also has free shipping.

I think I'll get this type C model instead, I don't like the older micro USB 3.0 connector as it's quite wide but shallow. It's just me, but i always feel that the older type connector will become looser and more wobbly the more wear and tear that the receptacle goes through. Comparison:

Have fun!

Bought it last time. By no means is this a durable enclosure, Plastic feels like CD jewel case quality. Cable is short, just under 2 ft. But still, worth $10.

As I mentioned in the previous thread, a very thin layer of silicone grease or petroleum jelly on the sliding surfaces makes the case much easier to open/close.

Got one of these last time; threw in an SSD and saw 450MB/s write speeds. I agree that its not very durable, but it looks pretty neat
