[Newegg] Samsung 850 EVO SSD 500gb ($179, FS)

Not sure if this is part of Newegg's BF sale or just a regular sale.

However, it's on par with Canada Computer's BF door crasher of $169. If you missed it yesterday, you can order from Newegg.

There's currently free shipping, or you can use InPost.

How is it on par...? 179 is 10 dollars more than 169.

Also, the Canada Computers deal was 159. And Newegg had this price for a limited time yesterday as well actually.

I bought this (m-ssd) and replaced the original drive on my mbpr using the adapter. The laptop now needs to load (color wheel) very frequently almost making it annoying. I have no such issues on my imac (original non ssd drive). Not sure if i did something wrong.

Thanks for the note !
Actually you're still correct.

I like how most of the tech media helps perpetuate this myth regarding faster SSD performance.

There's SSD performance differences in synthetic benchmarks and then there is SSD performance differences in what people actually do -

I actually don't know why stores sell on different platforms. But I don't think there's any difference. Their return policy should also be the same as their site (for newegg at least).
