Thank you OP!

I ordered the 128 GB Kingston Endurance card. Two year warranty, rated for a good temperature range and the larger size inherently reduces the risk of failure. Hopefully it does the job in my dash cam.

Sign up for their auto notification and once it’s back in stock they’ll email you. It was out of stock last week and I got the email that they had more Friday and ordered.

I took a chance on 2 64GB Samsung Pro High Endurance MicroSDXC from a 3rd party Amazon reseller for $25 each with free shipping. They just arrived today so I am testing to see if they are fake. Following a youtube video, visually the packaging and cards appear to be genuine. I tested them with H2testw and the capacity is correct. I'm going to run some benchmarks on it next to check the speed.

My Tesla ate my Kingston USB stick in a matter of months, too many cameras recording at all times. Went with a Samsung High Endurance card now.

Why not a proper SSD? The SSD will have a much bigger endurance than any microsd card.

SpeedOut says about 83 MB/s Read and 33 MB/s write. The read speed is much faster than my 64 GB Sandisk High Endurance at 42 MB/s but slower write at 41 MB/s.

So I think they are real. If not they at least have the correct capacity and quite fast.

Can someone answer -- are these high endurance cards preferred for mobile phones as well, or just dashcam use? Any other uses they're preferred over standard cards? TIA

I've never read "High Endurance" being needed for mobile phones. Some professional photographers use those. That being said, sometimes the prices are similar so why not?

The reasons for using High Endurance in dashcams are the constant recording, the extreme temperatures from -40 degrees at night in the winter to +40 degrees in the sun in the summer, the constant vibrations, etc.
