Thanks! In for a top up, I was far off from renewal but I think I was paying $39.99 for a year and that was the sale price. Unfortunately, I don't think existing customers can switch, it appears to have charged me $46 USD and added 2 years to my account FYI. Still a great deal I think.

I'm confused. You said existing customers can't switch, but you're an existing customer and you topped up? I ask because I'm in the same boat as you. $39.99 for a year, up for renewal in 5 months. Thanks

I figured it would switch your currently active plan and charge you a pro-rated fee. Instead this tacks onto the end of your current plan. So yes as a current member you can purchase this and it will kick in once your current plan expires. This is an excellent deal!

Ahhhh damn it. Got the 35$ 12 months last month. This would've been a better deal. Oh well

Looks like a time to ditch Newsgroup Ninja to save Usenet.
Omicron is killing competition.

But this is good deal for consumers, hopefully this is not a beginning of end.

I haven't used newsgroups since 2002. How are they these days? I guess it's faster that bittorrent?

My .farm sub goes to December. Will this compliment that sub or would this be redundant ?

man the customer service is awesome at Newsdemon.... I had originally got the first GOT week 1 promo which was $3.00/month...then last week asked to switch to the $40.00/18 months when it came out...... and just now I contacted them via there ticketing service on the website and they changed me over and just charged me the $6.00 difference and now I'm on the $46.00/24months plan they matched to Newsgroup Ninja...only other thing not sure about Ninja but Newsdemon also includes the slickVPN subscription included..

**This is now a Recurring Plan, but initially wasn't like Ninja.**

And people trust these really really long terms aren't a sign of something worse? What happens if either Demon or Ninja go away in 5 months?

Edited to be relevant

What are newsgroups used for now? I can't remember the last time I used one. What does the Newgroups have that you can't get with a bittorrent client and a good vpn?

It's recurring... It also says it right in the description underneath the plan name in red when you click on the above newsdemon link... But unlike Ninja you get free subscription with SlickVPN included with your newsdemon account
