Red Dead Redemption 2 (XBox One X). 4K (imgur will compress the original PNGs to lower quality jpeg files due to file size restrictions).

^ What settings are you using for the in-game HDR calibration? It looks like the whites and highlights are blown out in your screenshots.

I used the default game recommendation for 4K HDR OLEDs. 300 HDR brightness.
Screenshots look different than how it is on the display.

I have two XBox One Xs and two PS4 Pros. I will take some screenshots on a 1080p monitor later to compare.
I can only record video in 1080p from my desktop PC, whereas I play in 4K from the main TV in the living room
and use the built in screenshot functions on those consoles.
I won't be able to get the PS4 version until Amazon Prime stops screwing around.

Makes sense. I'm sure the HDR screenshots preserve more highlight detail. Speaking of which, I love that feature on the Xbox One X. It's too bad more people don't use it to share HDR screenshots through One Drive.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (XBox One X). 1080p mode

This time I played the game in 1080p mode and tried to get similar angle screenshots.
Uncompressed PNGS.

1080p mode still does not look as good as the compressed JPGs of 4K UHD HDR mode.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4 Pro). Checkerboarded 4K (1980x2160p native resolution upscaled to 4k).
Ends up looking a lot less clean and blurrier than the XBox One X's native 4k (4096 x 2160p)
