don't like the currency exchange local stores are doing... $229.99 USD is $236.44, so it should not be $249.99 when people in the U.S. are already getting it right now for less (and pay even less taxes). i think the same thing happened with original Nexus 7 and again we have to pay more.

Agreed. The exchange is a bit unfair. BTW, have you picked one up yet? If so, from where? Just curious.

someone reported that Staples store currently have stock in-store of the new Nexus 7 but will not break the street date and sell them early. it seems July 30 is the release date. well that's a lot earlier than I thought it would be, in a few weeks.
Someone in Toronto?

Now i'm hesitant between the nexus 2013 and the memo pad hd that should be release soon ( anyone have a canadian date ?). The later will cost something like 100$ less and will have sd memory. Of course the screen on the nexys will be better but at 1200 x 800 I think the memo hd isn't bad at all. Tough decision !

The memopad does not have a GPS as well, half the RAM (1GB vs 2GB). In all fairness, the memopad HD is priced where it should be, it's pretty close to the Nexus 7 original tablet except it has a rear camera and microSD slot but doesn't have GPS. Essentially, it's a 2012 tablet being released in 2013. Would make sense that the MemoPad HD would have microsdxc support but spec's only show 32gb limit so it will need to be tested.

Build quality issues are beginning to pop up on the new Nexus 7.
Just one small issue like that does not entail that the new Nexus 7 has build quality issues. I do not see any other comments in that article with others experiencing the same issue.

Its nice that the same wireless chargers we use for the Nexus 4, it can be used for the Nexus 7. Glad I stuck with the Anker.

Didn't notice about the Gps, that's a nice feature but I don't see how I vould need it it. However the screen on thenexus seems great which vould be usefull to read comics ( something I plan to do). I Dont know if 16 gb is enough, at 300$ the 32 gb is getting expensive.

It'd be nice if somewhere besides B&H would take my money for a 32gb model lol
