Was gonna post it in the big NHL thread but it's not "Off Season" anymore so here goes.
After all that fuss, the owner won and Boynton camp signed a 1-year deal that had been on te table for over a month. What's next? I'd say time for Boynton to fire his agent. Still dreaming that Leafs can make a run at him.

Boynton's an idiot... All of that waiting for this.
Now he's gotta come back and try to fit back into the team (new rules, physical shape, new teammates). No regret, I dropped him from my fantasy league team.

He's going to have a bad year. Holdout players always do.

I agree, holdouts play poorly but he looks like he can make a difference on the team.

Oct 13th, 2005 06:37 PM #5I know his family and know it won't happen. Toronto made inquiries but he refused. Apparently he doesn't want to play hockey in the same city he lives in...

It's about freaking time he came to his senses. What a huge waste of time. Haven't these players figured out yet that it's the owners who hold the hammer? Kovalchuk made a bit of a splash with his holdout signing for some elite dollars, but Boynton is not quite in Kovalchuk's class.

Ya Bonyton should fire his agent. This is cap space era. Especially with the frugal Bruins too.
Datsyuk and Kovalchuk both threatened to go to Russia but they both came back. Because it's the NHL after all especially now with the removal of redline that resembles Euro type play._______________
