I think the two #1 seeds of each conference has only met once in the last 20 or so years so I think it's much more likely to see one of these 2 powerhouses knocked out before the SCF.

Haha, the leaf fan in me was trying to will it to fruition. I know it is more likely that they lose the series in 6.

Thanks for your picks!

You guys got to see Game 1 in most of these series. Your predictions aren't really 100% predictions.... Sorry.

East:

(1) Pittsburgh vs (8) NY Islanders in six games - (i think the nyi can win a couple of games especially with sid's health in question)
(2) Montreal vs (7) Ottawa in seven games - (coin flip series, but i like the chemistry of the sens)
(3) Washington vs (6) NY Rangers in seven games - (experienced nhl goaltending will be the difference)
(4) Boston vs (5) Toronto in five games - (gotta give the Leafs one game so their fans can have a parade on yonge street)

West

(1) Chicago vs (8) Minnesota in six games - (2013 Presidents' Trophy CHAMPIONS for a reason)
(2) Anaheim vs (7) Detroit in seven games - (home ice will be the difference)
(3) Vancouver vs (6) San Jose in five games - (sj very tough at home so i see them taking at least one)
(4) St. Louis vs (5) Los Angeles in seven games - (gotta go with Stanley Cup Experience)

I'll just post my picks:

Pens / Sens - Sens win in six (goaltending the difference)
Bruins / NYR - NYR in five (attrition will be Bruins downfall)

Blackhawks / Red Wings - Red Wings in six (this pick made because it would main the best possible outcome from a Canucks' POV as it relates to higher draft position)
Kings / Sharks - Sharks in six (looking at past trends on teams that defeated the Canucks in previous Playoffs)

I only managed to guess one series right, NYR in 7. I was 1 game off in the Pens and Chicago series.

matdywer you may want to be a little bit more clear with your picks.
