OK exxons a private company and they can do what they want but this is way over the top - was the CEO really responsible for Exxons results or was it simply the global price of oil_______________

Who the hell would complain about getting money, especially such a huge retirement package.
It's a hefty package, but I don't know that it's so out of the ordinary.. CEO's are like God's. Seems like all the rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer.. eventually something has to change._______________

What's the big deal? He probably needs that kind of income to sustain the lifestyle he's accustomed to... plus there's a year of consulting and use of the private jet is probably business related anyway.

it's really a question that only the shareholders should have a say in. And since their wealth has been increased, apparently they think the CEO's wealth should increase also.

Companies should be forced by law to reduce the cost of the service/products they provide when their profits reach a certain level.
Seriously, I understand the need for companies to make a profit, but give some of that money back to taxpayers.
It's getting ridiculous. We continue to be overtaxed on absolutely everything, the prices for all products and services are being increased at a rapid rate, and the average person will see an annual raise of 2-3% if they are lucky._______________
