Nikon Mississauga Service Centre Discussion Thread

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to start a thread about the Service Centre Nikon has in Mississauga. I work close to there so I drop by pretty often to check out what deals they have at the moment, I'll post an update to this thread about every two to three weeks on what deals they currently have in stock. Feel free to discuss anything else related to the service centre since this thread isn't limited to just what deals they have there

I've been there a couple of times. They do have pretty good deals imo. I would say, they sell it a little less than most sellers want. I was looking at a 70-300 vr recently. Most of the people on kijiji want $400-$450, and there is a guy on tpmg who wants $420 (but this one is almost new though). I guess these are refurbished lenses as opposed to used lenses on kijiji, and other forums.

I was hoping somebody would start a thread like this. Thanks for starting the thread.

A OEM refurb is better than the used product!

I've bought a number of products from the service centre before and I've been extremely satisfied everytime, plus the prices are better than buying from the used market

Take the D300 for example, I'm pretty sure the one for sale has been thoroughly inspected and cleaned by a Nikon technician, you get a 6 month warranty AND its cheaper than what others are selling them used for. People are buying D5100's for over 800 after taxes when for pretty much the same price you can get a D300 that is a better camera in almost every aspect (you can bargain with the prices at the service centre)

I wonder how they price these refurb because shutter count can vary to a great degree... unless they all have new shutters which is very unlikely. :D

Sorry for asking these questions, but how does this work? You go into the service center and ask for the refurb parts dep't? Also how recent are the prices that you have posted there?

They have a display in the service centre with everything in it.

When you walk in on the main doors, hang a right and theres a small seating area. They have a glass case with the products in them and the price tags.

Thanks for making this thread tho.

Not really interested in the glass they have... Im looking for a 105mm macro VR

The things I list are the items inside the display case at the Nikon Mississauga service centre location, if there is a service centre in Montreal or Vancouver you will have to go there yourself and see if they have items for sale
