If they can match this with $10 games, I think it'll do well. Otherwise, it'll flop.

"With the low price tag comes a few sacrifices. Most notably, the unit is stripped of its Wi-Fi capabilities, so the Wii Mini cannot connect to the internet and does not support online features in games. Furthermore, the Wii Mini will not be compatible with Nintendo GameCube game discs, and the GameCube controller ports and memory slots have been removed."

Damn, so this is basically a stripped-down console for 5-10 year olds since they wouldn't need online capabilities or gamecube compatability. Still, the timing on this thing couldn't be worse with the Wii U having just come out. I frankly don't see anyone really wanting this for any reason.

Does this come with any games? If not, why wouldn't you just get the NSMB bundle? Hasn't that been ~$120? Then you would get wifi and a game.
I do like the design though.

I get the idea of a cheaper Wii, especially when it's nearing end of life... by why exclusive to Canada??
