[Nissan] 2016 Nissan LEAF $19889 After Rebates (Ontario Only?)

More offers from Nissan
In the Metro (Toronto) today there is a full page ad for a 2016 Nissan LEAF S for $19889!

$32689 - $9809 Ont rebate - $3000 non stackable cash when financing or leasing = $19889 + taxes.

Anyone looking for an affordable EV this may be it!

It doesn't seem to be on Nissan's website. I'll update with link if I can find one.

http://www.nissan.ca/en/electric-cars/leaf/

Edit:
The ad is misleading. It's advertising for a LEAF S, which has 24kwh battery, but states 27% improvement in range. That's true only for the SL / SV models which has a bigger 30kwh batteryll

Seems like other models have cash offer discounts also:
SV and SL - $1500 according to their website

The cash discounts maybe national, but the provincial rebate may differ.

Here's a pic of the ad.

Link from last years thread.[/size]

Highlights of prices from last year:
S - ~$23400
SV - ~$27300
SL - ~$29000
These were all cash deals.

What is a "not stackable cash" and how does that work?

Is the redesigned LEAF going to look less like a frog?

So BC has a $5k rebate (at least for the Tesla Model 3), what do the other provinces offer on EV's of this battery capacity?

Financing and government subsidize complicate this deal for out of province buyers. Toronto area car dealers always have the best deals at least compared to my province.

Yeah, I was surprised to see that and they didn't bother to put an asterisk on that line. At least they do indicate it's the SV model that is pictured. That being said, in Ontario, the different trims have different rebate amounts. S is $9,809 as you mention, SV is $11,219, and SL is $12,164.

I have not seen the ad, so I'm not sure how they come up with $19889. The Ontario rebate is applied AFTER the taxes are calculated. Assuming the 3000 cash is applied before tax, it should be:

( 32689 - 3000 ) * 13% - 9809 = $23,739.57.

If anyone knows how they came up with $19889, would love to know.

Technically, you could say that they should work the selling price backwards from that amount but since in general they never include the tax in car ads I guess they don't bother.

OP is a natural born salesman, just like the salesmen over at dealership who fail to remind people that bi-weekly payments = 26 weeks and not 24. :)

Yes but your payments drop by $12, so you win right? ;-)

Does anyone here have any real world experience with these? Reliable? Will they do 170k?

I have a 2015 Leaf. I have gone as far as 145km with about 40km left in the batteries in warm / hot weather. If you need close to 170kms go for the SV / SL models with the 30kwh battery.
