I made a post about this a few pages down.
I ended up getting the 2.5 Altima Sedan version because in the end practicality won over looks. But I did all my research for the Coupe.
The reports and quotes I got are in there.
Good luck!

I think it was meant as a compliment to the Altima, not a put-down.

Apparently the coupes tend to have higher insurance costs.

because of the 2 door "sport" thing...but not all insurance companies...altimas a good car i got the sedan 06 that ive been driving and its cool. 1 thing i dislike is its a massive friggin car. if theres parking lots that are tight...is a squeeze. Also its got a big ass so be mindful of that. I accidentally lightly bumped someone when i parked my car in a lot but thankfully there were no scratches or damage.
The coupe is slight less long than the sedan but not by much.
That said, after taxes and such the cost goes up to 40k ish brand new i think and at that price, id rather get a used up G37 with 60k or less on it.

The statement can be made for the ES since it's based on the same platform and shares the same engine. ALthough a full decked out Camry costs almost as much as the ES.
The g however shares nothing with the Altima. Different platform, engine, transmission, drivetrain and country of origin.

And for completeness,
the Acura TSX is the European Accord, so again, a different platform entirely, and a person makes that choice based on driving feel, not necessarily prestige.
The Camry or ES analogy is good though.
