After the last phishing post on the site I'm too scared to click on the link to find out which generation processor is in there.

Why do you say it was a phishing link?
Any proof using screen captures to show why you would say this?

Or are you just assuming this site is owned by this person who is posting the deal?

Because that would make more sense then just blatantly saying that he is phishing for sales.Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

Is this a hot deal or a so-so deal?
At this point you are probably better off waiting for boxing day.

What does this laptop or this type of laptop go for on BD? i love the specs and the all-around strengths of the unit.

Tough to beat these specs at that price. I would say more towards hot.

I'm not accusing the OP. I was referring to a post made previously. I can't remember what it was for but the item was ridiculously cheap and was made to bait users credit card info

I would say $499 - $549 for something similar. You may get a tad newer processor but you will likely lose 4 gigs of ram but I would take that trade off. At that price you would be looking at limited quantities probably and of course you would get a new unit. Personally I would not go for a bilingual keyboard.

lol...no, that laptop's GPU is pathetic

OK, yeah, you're not wrong. I forgot this laptop from the OP has a 930MX.

However, the i5-8250U runs laps around even the i7-7500U. The CPU in the OP is just as "pathetic" compared to the i5-8250U. If you ask me if someone who wants a $500 laptop would rather have a more powerful CPU or a more powerful GPU, I'd say it's more likely they want a more powerful CPU. The Intel 620 can play basic games. Obviously it won't perform well in graphically intensive games, but the 930MX won't either.
