GeForce MX? Wow I haven't heard that name since...2001? LOL. I remember back then when I had a GeForce 2MX...one of only two Nvidia GPUs I've ever owned (okay three if you count the Quadro I once had in a D620 laptop). It certainly wasn't for [polygon] gaming but it did the (2D) job and had multi-monitor and TV out--yes those were considered
"features" back then.

Anyway, they still brand with the MX name? Is this thing actually faster than integrated? Or is it just one of those "we can say it has a dGPU" jobbies?
Have you heard of google?

I bought our last desktop (an Asus ROG) from them. It's been perfect, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.
Thanks. If my purchase pans out I will recommend them to all my friends, family and here. I used to like refurb.io but I've seen too many mixed reviews here to prevent me from any longer recommending that store to anyone but my most bitter enemies.

JUST out of curiousity, I did google 930MX and found out it was originally released March 2016 and has 'fair' performance.
Under 35W power draw, 11.9 fps on Battlefield 4, 14.35 fps on Bioshock Infinite.

http://gpuboss.com/graphics-card/GeForce-930MX

Given the price point I'm not disappointed at all (but I don't expect to be gaming with any sincerity on a laptop).

I created a complete list for 930MX, scroll to the right to see all games, huge list so be patient it will take a long time to load. pay attention to the color legend provided.

There's tons of new games that this card can play, some on properly adjusted settings. Due to new tech constantly being pumped out, I think people routinely over estimate how much minimum spec they will need to run something (not just games) partly in order to rationalize getting that new toy. For example, this laptop is replacing a refurb dell desktop with a core 2 duo I had for over 7 years, that ran word processing, statistical programming, web, you tube, multi-tasked all the above, even did light gaming all on Windows 10 and did it all with minimal lag as long as it was maintained properly like weekly defrags and keeping 1/3 of the hard drive available.

It's not how many cells but the capacity that matters. On the Asus product site for this computer it says it's a 38Wh battery, which isn't bad.

The overall specs of this laptop is actually quite strong.

you are getting better performance than a high-end (i7) surface pro 4 (i7 SP4), which costs $1200~$1500+ with keyboard.

CPU: this is roughly 94% of i7 SP4 (scroll to the bottom to see average), but keep in mind that surface pro 4's CPU has to handle GPU responsibilities at the same time!

GPU: this is actually 30% better than i7 SP4's poor integrated GPU, scroll to the bottom. however, this laptop has dedicated GPU.

RAM: 12GB, i7 SP4: 8GB~16GB

hard-drive: i would recommend swapping in an SSD and sell the hard-drive, which would cost around $100 minus whatever you sell the hard-drive for.

In summary, you are paying $600 to get the performance of i7 SP4 that is usually around $1200~$1500. so you save the $600~$900 premium for i7 SP4's portability, build quality, resolution (141 ppi vs 267 ppi), and battery life. if you want to save another $80, which will be more than enough to cover the SSD, you can get this instead, the GPU and CPU of this laptop is very similar to i7 SP4.

Received the laptop early this morning in the GTA, after ordering late Wednesday evening on regular delivery. That's Amazon-like delivery speed. The laptop is in MINT condition - no scratches/dents/knicks or even fingerprints anywhere on the body or on the screen. A few dust particles collected on the bottom of the screen, that are easily blown away, is the only sign that the unit has ever been opened or used. The colour is a beautiful dark brown, which to my eyes is a lot more appealing then the chrome one shown on their website. After I finish installing Windows updates, I will check battery cycle status. So far, I'm a very happy camper with what I am seeing from this store.

Could you take a picture of the laptop so we can see the colour?
