If its the Hisense h3 (which it probably is considering its unlikely Hisense would make a different model vs rebrand using Sharp), then the 4000:1 contrast rating rules out IPS and makes it likely a VA panel.
Thanks, I'm good with advantages of VA panel.

Thought I would check our RCSS, as our No Frills does not carry electronics. Last week I was in there, they had all kinds of TV's, didn't notice any 32" ones, but they had a Sony and LG soundbar, so went back to check those. Family member was out on Saturday morning , they had their large TV's out still, several of them. Went out Saturday night, nothing to be found, I imagine they have been stored now for Boxing Week sales, or their next no tax electronics sales... was lucky enough to get a Samsung Gear S2 watch for $130, and a Philips 3000 series shaver for $3... yep, $3. $23 clearance, then $20 Smartsource coupon...

I did a quick calibration and I am quite impressed with the results, considering the 99$ price tag for this bedroom TV:

Picture: Theater
Brightness: 50
Contrast: 44
Color: 44
Aspect Ratio: Direct
Local Dimming: OFF
Backlight: 44 (dark room, can be increased based on your room)
Noise Reduction: OFF
Overscan: OFF
Tint: 0
Sharp: 0
Adaptive Contrast = OFF
Color Temp Warm

Pros:
Deep blacks, decent calibration controls, nice speakers, inputs/outputs, price,

Cons:
Viewing angle - typical for a VA panel

Service menu: Select Audio -> Advanced Audio -> Balance (make sure at 0), then press 1, 9, 6, 9.

It's no longer online, there was a thread about it for Walmart, it was a smartsource coupon, the usual $10 off trimmer, $20 off shaver.
Don't have static link, once it's printed, it won't allow me to view it anymore either.

Try this for the Service menu (H3 service menu, not at home to test it): Select Sound, then Balance (make sure at 0), then press 1, 9, 6, 9.
