The noob, from London U.K, now in Canada!
How are you all?
Im James, a Canadian noob from, yep, London U.K. (no tea and crumpet jokes, Ive have loads of them from family and friends!).
Ive arrived on this site as I was searching for prices on a laptop and camera and saved a few bucks.
This place turned out to be better than expected as you have other areas here, of which, Careers which will be closely followed.
What brought me here to Canada, the people and opportunities to change my lifestyle.
Im 28, a graduate and worked in financial analysis roles but sitting on my butt all day staring at cells and numbers just isnt for me. I need to be physically active, have a hands on job and willing to get dirty as well as mentally stimulated. So a skilled trade is where Ill be going (starting off with pre employment course via SAIT, then network as heck, luckily my uncle was a civil engineer in his day and still has a few contracts).
On a personal note, it would also be great to experience more outdoor activities, snow boarding, hiking, mountain biking but thats more so in the west which is where Ill be later in the year. Im in 'Ssauga, ON, for the few months, pick up odd jobs for beer money, meet some Canadians, make friends and immerse myself in the culture.
Nice to be here and hope to speak with you soon.
'Cheerio'.
Regards,
James.

Welcome James.
Careers section is a bit of a downer though, but hopefully your addition will bring some life into it.

Maybe that is what it needs. Or maybe your talents will take you to off topic - it needs newbies.
Do the they have English Muffins and English Breakfast Tea over there?
