Notice of Trial Question

Hi, I have a question.

So I am fighting a speeding ticket with a Paralegal who specializes in HTA.

So the trial is this Thursday May 24th.

My question is does the Paralegal automatically get my "notice of trial" as they are the ones who submitted the request for the trial?

Or so I have to fax them a copy?

Also, do I need to call them to remind them of the Trial Date and Time or do the Paralegals know/remember?

First time dealing with a Paralegal...

Thanks

Let them deal with it

I wouldn't be surprised if your 'paralegal' pleas guilty with lesser fine.
hated on but respected.

So I don't have to fax a copy of the "notice of trial" to them?

They will get a copy automatically?

What's the chance of them forgetting my Trial as the wait time is a little over a year?

With my paralegal, I fax the notice of trial to him when I get it in the mail. He doesn't get a copy of it, as he is simply applying for a court date on your behalf. As for the trial date, it wouldn't hurt to call like a week or so before the trial date to get a status update/ask if theres anything that needs to be done on your end. Basically a reminder.

OP, the Notice of Trial will always go to the defendant's address. Exceptions can be made if you or your agent (in this case the paralegal) made prior plans with the court to send the Notice of Trial to your paralegal.
