Champion has emerged from the shadows of his studio to present his highly anticipated new album, Resistance. Eager to expand his musical horizons beyond the highly acclaimed success of his last release, Chill Em All, which spawned the massive hit “No Heaven”, and aware of the challenges of re-creating the energy of the live performances he’s become known for, Champion chose to incorporate elements of rock to change the direction of Resistance.

Strongly inspired by turn of the century worksongs, the DJ wrote most of the lyrics on the record for the first time. He recruited Pilou, a young singer from the Montreal music scene who makes his debut appearance singing with a comparable fierceness alongside Champion’s signature electric guitar and electronic drum wizardry.
