Celebrity Chef Anna Olson creates a menu inspired by her book, Fresh with Anna Olson: Seasonally Inspired Recipes to Share with Family and Friends and presents it in a special Wine & Dine event in Prairie Ink restaurant.

Anna Olson has hosted five seasons of the program Sugar, which airs on Food Network Canada and is broadcast internationally. Presently she hosts Fresh with Anna Olson. She owns Olson Foods at Port in Port Dalhousie and co-owns Olson Foods st Ravine in St. Davids, both in the Niagara region. She is the bestselling author of Sugar and Another Cup of Sugar, In the Kitchen with Anna and co-authored the award-winning cookbooks Inn on the Twenty and Anna & Michael Olson Cook at Home.

Wine and Dines began as an interesting way to launch cookbooks. Our full-service licensed restaurant, Prairie Ink Restaurant and Bakery, is a place where cookbook authors and people who love food can get together.

Wine and Dines are evenings of great food and wine. The guest chef decides on a fixed thee- or four-course menu, and our sommelier pairs wines to each course. As the courses are presented, the chef offers a short talk about the food, the ingredients, and the history of the recipe. As the wine is presented, the sommelier speaks about the wine and gives advice on what to look for in a wine or vineyard. When choosing wines we always try to stay close to home, and use Ontario wines as much as possible.

It is our goal to be able to offer these evenings at $60, or under, per person. Last year, in Winnipeg, Christine Cushing, Trish Magwood, Anita Stewart and Olaf Mertens all participated in the Wine and Dine series.
