To invest in XEG or ZEO, that is the question....
Absolutely ZEO.

This is big.
Looks like there won't be any energy shortages in the foreseeable future.

Oil got slammed again today. M interested in adding to CPG position. Any industry insider input here? I know that CPG has lost plenty of love after they announced secondary offering sometime late last year but at current price, I think CPG offers plenty of upside and carries somewhat of a lesser downside risk. Last time CPG traded at the current price was when oil went into 20s ... today it's more than double of that.

What Canadian oil company to invest in?

PEY, ARX, SU CNQ???

I'm leaning toward PEY or ARX because of dividend but that is probably the wrong move...

What about GXO?

Both SU and CNQ are solid dividend players in the O&G sector .. and make great long-term holdings.

PEYto is predominantly natural gas, but probably the has the lowest operating cost in the ng sector.

GXO is much much smaller compared to the other names that you listed. It is oil focused and pays a monthly dividend; market probably thinks the divy isn't sustainable at USD 50 oil....but I think they should be able to keep it
 :)  :D

I have been flipping GXO, It pays a divvy while waiting. I usually pick up in the low $5 area and sell mid $5 area. Just picked up more at $5.05 today.

I haven't bought any yet, I have no idea when the bleeding stops.
None of their financials looks good to me. didn't realize it was such a mess.

Talk about catching the oil falling knife since 2014.....
2016 was a dead cat bounce? ha

Even if the crude stays at $50 USD, so many TSX energy companies are near 52w lows like when crude is at $30

The only explanation is hardly anyone in Canada is profitable at 50 a barrel?

I guess steer clear of Canada and go with something in the Permian basin???

The only one not falling off the cliff yet is suncor.
