Oakville - today only - 5 cents off / L of gas at Canadian Tire

I received this in the mail.. and indeed it was 85.3c/L instead of the usual 90.3c/L



it's relatively organized (fenced off with yellow tape).. the exits and entrances are marked and they are directing traffic to the right pump..

they do come up to you to tell you about their credit card so you can save 10c/L in the first month or 3..

lineup at 7:10 was 1 car long and when i left about 3-4 cars long..

just filled up at 1PM and saved 5c/l. There was a line up of about 4 cars (+- 5 minute wait). There was a guy while filling up telling you about their Advantage card.

Advantage card is stupid. I think you have to spend at least $1000 - $2500 per month just to save 5cents per litre.

Assume that you fill up a 40 litre tank once a week. That gives you a savings of $8/month on gas. But you have to spend that much money anyways.
