Geforce 5200? That's about 3 generations ago!
I don't think this is hot.

As always with clearances, YMMV, but I can see on the website the Fx5200 and FX5500 is $37.04, the MX4000 is $29.04, and the FX5700LE is $64.04. No stock in my area though

Useful for those who just need a cheap card to get the job done, HTPCs, etc.

It is hard to find any deals on computer parts where I live and shipping usually kills any deal when ordering online.

I see the FX 5200 at $149 on the website. Good price if it was $37.04 .. but this one doesn't look like a fanless one though so not ideal for a silent PC .

I picked up a 5200 PCI version for $25 at my Office Depot in Winnipeg (Polo Park). I will use it in a Dell without an AGP slot. It also has DVI out and S-Video out.
For this price, I am going to try putting a passive heat sink on the chip instead of the fan to keep the noise down.

They had about six of them there on Friday

I have been watching these cards for a couple weeks now waiting for the price to drop a bit more.
Just yesterday they were $45.00.
I also picked up a fx5500 pci card for $25.00 to go along with the TD 3ghz Celeron/ Intel mobo deal for $69.00...perfect HTPC for the kids room.

Jun 25th, 2006 03:17 PM #8Thanks for posting. Don't worry, every time someone posts a deal there's always some dullard who has to jump all over you when they deem your deal unworthy due to their own myopia.

Do you have a link?
I couldn't find it online, was there a link, or is this in store only?

I'm in BC and the net lists it as regular price. Is it in store only?
My P4/3GHz Compaq PC only has PCI
, so the 5500 would be HOT, since I was going to get it at NCIX for ~$85

I've called 2 stores in GTA this afternoon but none of them are selling them for $33. They want most cards for around $90. They told me it must be a deal for that specific store. Not chain wide.
