No
In the little blue box, it says Shipping (about shipping) $0.00
But when I clicked on where it said (about shipping), another window pops up with:
Estimate your shipping
Our shipping and handling charges are (1):
For PCs(2) only: QUANTITY (1-5) $59.95 per PC to a maximum charge of $179.85
So naturally I thought they would just tack on the extra $59.95 at the very end.
Since you mentioned the free shipping info, I proceeded to the very end,
and I now see that they didn't add any additional charge for shipping.
Thanks for the update!

Ordered...can someone please let me know what optical or SSD drive I can get which fits in this?
Is SSD much better?
Id just like to get a deal on one, same as the deal on this laptop but I never check the NewEgg/NCIX sales or anything anymore so I have no idea what the extra drives cost these days or what a sale price would be, and Im guess a few other people who bought these T61 will also be looking at HDD upgrade.
Thanks.

Of course, very few people use DVD drives anymore, its all USB and portable hard drives.
Any SSD that says 2.5" will be plug and play, for 1.8" you need an adapter
Usually 60GB on a regular sale will run you up $45ish, 120GB for $90, 256GB for $180.
If you find a good sale, they are usually $0.50/GB._______________

this laptop has a life expectancy of about 4-5 years. Then you will see the fan start to go and the laptop will overheat as well as a faulty battery that won't even last more than 30 minutes.

I picked up a T400 and I'm very happy with the purchase. I was presently surprised that it came with a 9 cell battery and looks brand new. I only needed this for basic excel and browsing so performance wasn't a major issue for me. It didn't come with bloatware that we see with other manufacturers, this saved me from having to do a fresh install of Windows 7.

Those who bought this, what kind of battery was included? 6 or 9 cell? new or used?
If you got a new battery, this is at least warm - if it's a used or 'refurbished' old battery, then it's cold.
