Office Depot Fellowes 700c Shredder $69.99
I kinda new to this forum so go easy on me
Office Depot had a "Customer Appreciation" week add in the local paper here and this shredder was listed for $69.99:

Not a bad deal so I picked one up.
Home use only 7 sheet crosscut - had good reviews at epinions.
They took my coupon otherwise I would have scanned it and I can't recall how long the sale is for.

Seems like a decent price for a X-cut shredder.
But do you really need a X-cut for home use ? You can get a much cheaper straight strip-cut for less than HALF the price.
Just my subjection opinion.

I also run a business out of the house (although I have an office downtown).
I don't want to shred everything....just the confidential stuff.
For security reasons....crosscut is better (although I can imagine some thief piecing together strip cuts
)

True but with identify theft on the rise, one can never be too careful .. everyone should have a home shredder! I had a straight strip-cut but bought the x-cut one that Costco had on sale a few weeks ago & its great!!

I also picked up the one Costco had. Its a Royal 10sheet X-cut. Also does CD's, staples, and paperclips. I picked it up when they had a $10 coupon, so I paid $49.99. BUT, the reg price is still good value at $59.99. I have had it for 2 weeks and no problems yet!
