low wheel is front wheel drive and is $100 more.
my scotts was a front wheel drive, it was nice, but the big rear wheels are easier to push and unless you have a gigantic yard and are 95y old you don't need it.
i fired up my $299 costco poulan pro, just bought today, and it is VERY NICE. started first pull, nothing to assemble. add oil, fuel and away you go. 2y mfg wty, 1y extra with creditcard?
can't go wrong for $300 and it's from costco, so if it sucks really bad, i'll just bring it back, but i think it's a keeper. honda motor as well.

I'm looking to get an electric mower for the first time and I'm wondering if this Craftsman model would be a good choice:

NOPE. my last one was, but unless you used the front wheel drive all the time, it was very hard to push with the small wheels. also, i found that i couldn't just stop and look at something on the ground or pull it back easily, you always had to lift up the front if you want to stop, or disengage the drive etc.
i would keep your $100 bucks, and buy a gas trimmer if you don't already have one. $299 for a kickass mower and $100 for a gas whacker.
