While boxing eyes are on Canelo vs GGG, Mayweather has announced coming out of retirement for a rematch with Pacquiao later this year: https://www.si.com/boxing/2018/09/15/fl ... ng-rematch

Wont have the hype of the first, but will still generate way more $$$ than it should. Assuming this actually happens.

golden boy promotion wanted canelo to win. he is more marketable, younger. canelo got more guaranteed purse even though ggg was the one holding all the belts. yes boxing is fixed.

GGG had to win by KO to take this out of the judges hands and unfortunately, he didn't......

Close match and of course Canelo will get the nod - he's the one with star power. Third match is needed to put a close to this!!!

And kudos to Floyd, his timing is impeccable as always - piggyback off GGG vs Canelo to announce a sequel with Pacman. Both need the money so why not? Another easy day in the office for Money unless his legs are gone!

And Golden Boy wanted GGG to lose so he doesn't break Hopkins 20 consecutive defenses....so now GGG and Hopkins are tied.....

Bring on GGG vs Canelo 3!!!

No need for a GGG Canelo 3. Results are always bullshit. What’s the point in GGG fighting when the system is rigged against him.

This result was the best possible outcome for both fighters from a monetary perspective. The next fight will be huge, and they'll both probably make much more than they did this time.

In the end, it's all about the money. There's a lot more to be made now than if GGG won.

Agreed.

Just home from my friend's cottage so we watched it in the Shoeless Joe's in Belleville. Would somebody kindly PM a link so that I can rewatch this fight ASAP. I saw a very different fight with the crowd at the bar.

Good heavyweight tilt this weekend! Anthony Joshua vs Alexander Povetkin!

Povetkin has always been suspect for me given he failed 2 drug tests in a row....but hey, whatever sells right? And this is tough test for Joshua - let's see how he does!

Only on Sky Box PPV but free on DAZN if you sign up (and I believe DAZN has a free 30 day trial).....
