Anyone have a link to the Canelo vs. GGG fight? It would be grealy appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'd like to rewatch the fight and mute it so I don't hear the boxing analysts commentaries and make up my own mind on who actually won the fight. LOL

some good fights this weekend!!

Today - heavyweights clash - Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury (cousin of Tyson Fury) and this is for Parker's WBO belt! Showing on Youtube for a fee and I believe Integrated Sports PPV? Not sure....

This is probably the best opponent each of them have faced and this is a good match - both are young, have power, Hughie is taller and has a longer reach but I give the power nod to Parker - should be a good one!!

Image

Also later tonight at 10PM ET (HBO PPV) - Jorge Linares vs Luke Campbell! This is for Linares' WBA title - Linares has looked good in the last few fights, have to give the nod to Linares!

Image

And Andre Ward's retirement - sayyy whattt ??!? Looks like his body couldn't hold up, no more desire (or a tactic to take some time off and secure a better promotional contract?). Retires at age 33, undefeated with a 32-0 record...

Enjoy retirement champ - you really had the ring smarts and skills to adjust mid-match and beat your opponent!

Bit of a snoozefest between Parker and Hughie fury.....Parker unable to land anything significant and Hughie with good footwork and awkward movement made it hard...

Parker didn't look so good and even though he got the split decision win....not sure how he would stack up against Wilder or Joshua

Linares also wins by close UD....close fight but I had Linares winning by a wider UD....

Look forward to Wilder vs Oritz!!

You don't need to listen to the analysts but the fans were pretty clear on who won. They were all cheering for Canelo at the start of the fight and when the fight ended they were cheering for GGG. They booed the decisions. Everybody got robbed... including me.

Kind of think GGG could've pulled the trigger at least 3 times during the fight and finish Canelo but he was hesitant. Canelo didn't do bad but he wasn't great. Still love them both and I still hate De La Hoya and have a new found hate (hate is a strong word...more like a lost of respect) for Hopkins. F**king worms I want my $200 back.

Joshua is back Saturday a few months after his epic fight vs Klitschko. Taking on Takam after initial opponent Pulev had to withdraw recently due to a shoulder injury.

Don't know much about Takam but not expecting major opposition.

Another HW title on the line this evening as Haiti born-Montreal raised-Fighting out of Vegas Stiverne is getting a rematch vs Wilder. Last time Wilder pounded poor Stiverne for 12 rounds and a trip to hospital. Expecting Wilder KO somewhere mid-fight.

A fight already not very high on radar will get even more overshadowed by GSP return at UFC 217 .

crap - I've been so busy at work that I haven't been able to post on RFD too much and didn't get a chance to update the thread title so thx peli33!!

But wowzers, I thought the Wilder vs Stiverne fight would be competitive but this was utter dominance.....Stiverne got rocked with that first knock down and never fully recovered....bring on Wilder vs Joshua!!!

Cotto's final fight is tonight!! It would have been good for him to fight someone with a bigger name but apparently the big names didn't want any Cotto action so we have Sadam Ali moving up in weight to challenge Cotto the legend!

Well, thinking Cotto by UD - this will be a good farewell fight for the legend and he can ride off into the sunset on his terms with his faculties intact! Should be fun!

WOw, Cotto loses by UD......Cotto was doing well the first half but apparently suffered a left biceps injury...

Kudos to sadam for taking advantage...entertaining bout

Not exactly how Cotto wanted to ride off into the sunset but he can keep his head up with his legacy intact....enjoy champ!

Insane there's a boxing thread here and no ones talking Loma vs Rigo. It's tomorrow and I expect one of the most exciting fights in the last few years. I got Loma!

Fight is not getting due recognition. Just like Rigo never got much for being one of the best P4P. That is what you got for being among lightweights and not a very exciting style. What is touted to be among the most anticipated fights in an already packed 2017 boxing year is not even on PPV.

thx boys, I've been so busy at work (insanely busy) - no time for RFD but have everything queued up to post today!

And you are right!! This matchup of Loma vs Rigo is historic!! First time in boxing history are 2 double-Olympic Gold medalists squaring off with vastly different boxing styles.

Loma brings the pressure but has the ability\footwork to dance, throw punches from different angles and beautiful combinations. Guy has crazy boxing\power skills, never tires and is relentless. He has been craving a big name and Rigo is probably the best boxer he has faced to date!

Don't get me wrong, Salido is one tough hombre (which Loma lost to in his 2nd match but Orlando was over the weight limit and that match had a lot of low blows)....Gary Russell Jr is decent enough but Rigo is a different animal altogether.

**Forgot about Nicholas Walters - the "Axe Man" - Loma made him quit which was very impressive!**

Rigo is a slick defensive wizard with a long lasting motor and understated power (when he chooses to use it). Rigo's MO is the Cuban defensive style of boxing - pile up points, use defensive wizardry to make the opposition look bad and coast to victory.

A great contrast in boxing styles, I can't wait! And the bout is broadcast on ESPN, which is great!

Prediction: Loma by UD but there may be some rounds that feature not too much action but plenty of technique. Unless Loma's pressure can force Rigo to engage - which will be a different bout and more entertaining, Can't wait!!

P.S. A great article on Loma's unique training techniques implemented by his trainer father - good read:

Loma vs Rigo was a bit more one-sided than I would have thought - perhaps Rigo's inactivity, age and moving up 2 weight classes was a bit too much all at once...

But man, Loma looked great - excellent movement, punching and non-stop....

Can't wait for Loma's next bout!
