ToysRUs Flyer is out...

30% off select selects sets
20% off select Disney Princess sets
30% off NEXO Knights Axl's Tower Carrier (59.87$ instead of 89.99$)
20% off select DC Super Heroes sets

Also, Air Miles is having a 25x promo:
1 AM is worth around 10.5 cents (95 AM = 10$)
For most stores, you get 1 AM per 20$ spent which is around 13% cash back!

I am considering ordering stuff from LEGO now, 10% from double VIP points and another 13% is decent for sets that never go on sale (looking at your Slave I, Kwik-E-Mart & Ferris Wheel [this has not been on sale for a loooooooooong time])

ToysRUs website is always messy on the first day of sale... it shows over 200 sets in the "30% off select lego sets"!

Considering the Minecraft sets, although the price/piece for the 2 biggers sets is bad, especially for The Village!

$10 off your next REGULAR priced items until Apr 20th.

So while certainly not bad, it's not going to net you any more of a saving than the regular priced deals nowadays.
Seems retailers are too busy trying to top the once less frequent 20% off so....And with your ebates, airmiles etc....

BTW Mike, how easy is it to covert airmiles to cash, and is it a direct $ conversion? I can't seem to get a clear answer through 'the Googles'

True it's not great, but I usually use those vouchers for sets <= 20$. 50% off is not bad! :P
I convert my AIR MILES for ToysRUs eVouchers (take about 5 minutes to receive them).
The only thing that sucks with the eVouchers is that you are limited to only 5 gift cards (same as eVouchers) for online purchases. Since they only offer 10$ and 20$, the maximum you can have is 100$ per order.
Customer support told me there is no limit in store, but when I tried to use them at the store they didn't work (the cashier was new, so maybe she didn't knew how).

I love how ToysRUs flyer says the deal starts at 12:01 AM, but at 4AM they still didn't update!

I don't think we will ever see 50% off (except maybe Wal-Mart).
I am tempted to do 3 different Minecraft purchase to get 3 x 10$ card... lol
Would be an easy choice if ToysRUs was on Air Miles Shop or the $/piece was better...

I should have said, but the coupon states $10 off regular purchases of $50 or more. I always assume you have to spend $50 to get them, and spend $50 to use them, but I should have said that.

Also it;s $50..again I neglected that penny...I was thining $49.99 on both cases as I automatically parse things up that penny.

So....it's basically not even %20 off. $49.99 sets won't get you the deal. So you'd have to add..maybe a CMF or Polybag.....gonna be $54.99.....
Better off buying the sets 20% off on regualr TRU sale or wait for better.....and almsot all sets $50 or under have better than 20% off deals these days.

There is no set or item that I can think of that isn't sold for 20% or more off when it's $50 or under. Indigo offer minfigures and baseplates, sometimes up to 25% off, and with ebates, and what have you, and the $25 delivery threshold....

It's fine, but it's just very specific limited use.

Your list of 20% off is more tempting ;-) And you info on the airmiles thing is handy. Wonder if my old arimiles cards I used back in the day are valid?
And your regular catches of Sears are REALLY tempting......
Say, who received stuff in bubble wrap? Any updates on the ship to store? If I have an income next time around, I think I'll gor for the $70 off $200 deal.....already have sets picked out; gonna have to buy some boxers to get over $199.99 though......

It MAY go on a 35% at Amazon if they do those again, and last more than a few hours. At 50% on Amazon it will go quickly, and unlike People in the Park it likely won;t keep reappearing.
If it goes up for 50% on Walmart of the Bay, it will last minutes to an hour.

There are literally people refreshing Lego deals and snagging the 50% off. I should know, cos I do it sometimes and still only have time to see them go OSS. ;-)

Wow. Got mine yesterday; I had no idea it came in a little suitcase box until...someone mentioned grabbing an extra one on here and I looked it up. They are already like $20 on resale but I don't think many are paying that price. Anyway it's a neat deal, and better than the picture and "My LEgo Companion" tag made it seem.
I'm not sure if my Chapters had them when I spent (cough) $120 odd on CMF but the nice lass didn't seem to think so and I felt if I waited to pursue it that I'd buy more....
(And I STILL only got 15 of the 16; from an hour of at home bump code study...bollocks. Intended to return the triplicates, and quadruples, but may not get up there before 14 days is up....gonna have to have 4 Dino Trackers and mix and match parts for a cool team I guess.....)

Still, you can find out the bugger that did it when you see 35 up for $15+ this weekend.

Damn, I really need to read the whole paragraph lol...
10% off 50$ is indeed not that hot as 20% seems to be the norms now... heck I'd rather order from Indigo right now with the extra cashback from AIR MILES.

Regarding AIR MILES, you need to make sure you are collecting Cash Miles instead of Dream Miles.
Since you have an old account, I am not sure if you decided which one you collect and if you didn't, which one they converted your points to.

For my Sears order, I received it yesterday.
Doesn't seems to be any difference between store or ship to home.
I ordered 9 sets which were delivered on 4 different parcels via UPS to their store (everything left from the same warehouse).
For the first 3 parcels, they wrapped some plastic around the LEGO box directly so they were obviously slightly damaged when I receive them.
The other 6 sets were put inside a box, but for some reason, each of the boxes had a sticker with a barcode slapped on the box... one of the box even had random tape on it lol.
At least this time, they didn't tape the packing slip on the boxes, they let it free inside the wrapping/box (which is what they should always do).
I am glad there are no more sets I want from Sears for now as they are definitely the worse online retailer.
Actually all the other places I have ordered from (Indigo, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Hudson's Bay, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Costco & LEGO Shop @ Home) know how to package LEGO sets properly.
Sears seems to have no clue how to ship LEGO boxes.

Sears seems to have no clue how to ship LEGO boxes.
Cheers man; I will look at this air miles lark; seems like I could do well with it.
And yeah, reading the fine print....also good to test things where possible, as with Sears; sometimes their vouchers DON'T allow Lego, sometimes they do..

Thanks for the info. Wow you went to town at Sears ;-). I guess it depends....how much do you value an effective 35% off the sets? 2% ebates, too and do airmiles or GCR better this?

I would add; it ultimately depends on do you buy to open for sure, resell for sure, or like me (mostly) buy to open but put to one side in most cases until I have paid off my debt (might have to sell for rent ;-O)

a) 35% off is rare for anywhere except Amazon and particularly Walmart; the latter of which is HARD to grab in time as they tend to go for 50%. Neither of which is guaranteed to ship it in boxes; reports here vary, but Walmart has shipped Ewok villages in bags, or in the boxes it came in, and my Temple came in a bag. Also have to think about the sets; getting 50% off smaller sets is easier than bigger, it seems.

b)If you are going to open it and enjoy, does the box condition matter as much? I have to say, had I seen Jestro's Lair on Walmart for 50% off in time I would have leapt..but chances that it would have come in a bag were high enough. I didn't get it in the 3 minutes it was likely available so...

Grabbing something that size from Sears with another box.....throw in a clearance top or something (the hoodies I got for like $10 are excellent quality, way better than Walmart's cheapest)......and maybe a $3 clothes item to get over $199.99.....yeah, chances are it will come in less than stellar condition. But if I am sure I'll break it out and 35% with a chance to get it....

YMMV ;-)
Glorious Days when one can (almost) always get LEGO for 20% off or more, and sometimes you need only wait a few months...... Come and talk LEGO here
