Does anyone know if LG uses a pentile display format on their OLED screens (for the V30)?

It is a great looking phone, but as a V20 user I'm not really tempted. I like the second screen a lot, and I tend to keep the same phone for several years which means a removable battery is rather important due to battery degradation. Probably will consider it if I didn't already got a V20. Though probably not at introduction price anyway.

This phone is looking really appealing to me for many reasons such as the primary camera having aperture of 1.6, the secondary camera on rear being wide angle, seems like just the right size, and that it already has support for band 71 (600MHz).

We'll have to wait and see what the Canadian pricing is like and what the battery usage turns out to be with full retail using using final hardware and software.

Overall though, I'm more interested in this than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I'm still waiting to see what the Mate 10 is like before deciding.

This is one of my choices for now. I am planning to pick something by the end of November or early December. I just want to wait to see what the Huawei Mate 10 would be like and also see if the next Xiaomi Mi Note 3 or Mi Mix 2 will have global LTE bands.
I post, you decide.

i am guestimating $900 CAD.

I know this version doesnt come with B&O headphones but does it still have quad DAC/wireless charging or is that regional specific?

as with all LG phones, expect the prices to come crashing down in a couple months.

Guessing nobody is really excited about this phone. Looks to be solid. Hoping the boot issue I keep reading about on older lg model doesn't plague this one.
With a good price drop this should be a solid buy

Looking to buy this to replace my G6...really enjoy the dual cam setup by LG and the V30's cam are supposed to be better. Hopefully, like G6, price is drop within a couple of months.

From G4, G5, G6 to G30....the camera image sensor just keeps getting smaller and smaller.... to a point it's almost a joke. The main camera sensor of V30 is the same sensor of HTC's front facing camera....... It's truly impressive what LG did with that crappy small sensor. Their image processing team is probably best in the industry...... just imagine what they can achieve with a real flagship camera sensor.....sigh....

If LG will sell the phone for these prices in Canada I am not sure it's worth it. Looking at Apple Canadian pricing LG might pull and Apple and sell the phone an extra $50~$100CDN more in Canada because reasons.
The G6 can be bought for $500. The V30 is a obviously a big improvement over the G6 but I don't think it's worth twice the price.

I fully agree. I'm waiting on a G6 deal... I'd rather the v30, but I don't see that happening.
