From my brief research, it's either get a free game with the $299 ps3, or just the console itself (at the same price) ?

Did you get an email yet? Apparently they have already started going out. I haven't received my code yet though.

No code yet, when you dl the theme it says the 25th or what ever so ill wait till then. I hope i get in but in the end its no biggie as i already know im going to get the game considering how much i loved the first... err second

I downloaded it within 10 minutes of going up. It seems that the people who got codes, was completely random. I too am hoping that by the 25th, everyone that should have one, has one.

Pretty sweet, i want to get in. I was in the original beta and it was interesting helping to clean up bugs.

From reports I've read there's discrepancy between 'ship' and 'sold'. IGN and Joystiq are saying it's 1 million 'shipped,' with your link saying 'sold.'

Ordered mine from ebay, total was less than $1.50 shipped and it works on 3.50 PS3

also the xbox 360 controller adapter still works with 3.50 firmware on PS3
