Congrats!! I just got a setup too!
Mine are:
2005 Burton air 157cm
2005 Burton freestyle boots (black)
2005 Burton misson bindings (black)
I couldn't resist buying this right now as burton airs are really hard to find and will be sold out by boxing day. The top graphic is from a guy in London ON too! Note: it is strange, but my board is a blue board and on the burton website, I only see white top for 157cm... what's up with that?
Those exus boots were sold out in my size! I wanted to try them on beceause they make the lightest boot around.
on a side note, I want to know if anybody has burton mission bindings that are silver and freestyle boots that are white. I would like those colors more than the black that I have. message me if you want to trade.

Dec 20th, 2004 10:00 AM #6nice stuff. unfortunately, i had to return my burton el habano cartels so i'm still riding on some old gear. i think i'll keep the board until i have enough money to get a new one or it snaps. it took me a season to break it in, but i love the flex and pop on the ks.

Dec 20th, 2004 01:06 PM #7I checked a few places. SKIIS and BIKES, Board Sports, Boardzone.com, Sporting Life(sportinglife.ca), boardroomshop.com.

I could have gotten a 165cm board, but since it's a WIDE board, i decided on the 162cm to possibly compensate for lesser control of a wide board. We'll see how it works out. Maybe there wasn't much to compensate for.
As for what to look for, I couldn't really tell you. From all the research I did, "32" boots are probably the best boot to get. They're supposed to be the lightest boot, and even at their entry level boot (EXUS) they have heat moldable liners to form to your feet.
Bindings, the brands that seem to be most popular are, DRAKE, RIDE, and Technine(Tech 9).
Boards - Rome, Option, Ride were the most popular that i read up on. But I'd say pop into a few stores, tell them your height/weight, level of snowboarding, and what possible bootsize you'd be wearing (you may or may not need a wide board) Thus having more choices to pick from.
Personally, i couldn't find ROME boards anywhere

Dec 20th, 2004 01:11 PM #9Other people from snowboard forums say it's an awesome setup. The sales guy that was helping me said it's like getting a BMW for your first car. So i'd say it's pretty decent

I was really close to choosing a option mirror (because they are Canadian), but in the end the look was kinda too weird for me.

One question though: why did you get 32 exus boots (which is the lowest end model) when all your other gear are higher end models? why not get the lashed?
