Thinking of signing up with Achieva for both a "regular" Savings account and a TFSA savings account. I have a cheque to deposit to the regular savings account, then I'm going to transfer a portion of that to the TFSA account. Will that be fairly painless?

Sounds like it should work out for you. I'm also curious if you will get the $1.00 Green for Green monthly benefit for EACH account, or just 1 of 2?
You only get it once

+1

And Achieva Financial is by far the easiest sign-up I've ever done.

Hubert/Implicity/Achieva have the best TFSA rates as per this thread without any transfer fees.

Which one is preferred? My immediate thoughts are which ones can be setup with an external account and can push and pull? Can someone pls point me in the right direction?

Achieva Financial for the WB via referral and the free loonie every month for going paperless.

Implicity will probably remain on par with Achieva and Outlook for rates. Hubert has best me to me transfers, but meh.

Opportunity cost. Keep small balance at Achieva in TFSA and big balance at SCU. SCU better deal than IdealSavings now.

Can someone pls point out to me if you can push from Hubert to Tang?
Yes you can. And you can push Tang to Hubert. You can push from most CU's and most subsidiary banks.

Hubert has the 2.95% quarterly gic that is redeem able. Tfsa eligible. Lose interest for any quarter you terminate early. Quit in 7 months, get int for 6 months.

So with Hubert, if I only setup a TFSA, then every single push/pull is considered a withdrawal and contribution then. That's pretty....interesting. What do you all do? Just setup the one TFSA, or do you setup a TFSA + savings?
