has anyone here had an issue with videos on facebook where it pauses on its own after a couple seconds in? I have to tap on the video to start playing again.

Any fix?

i tried re-installing updates

Same here. I'm on beta stream for FB. They're likely tinkering with stuff. I'd imagine in a few days it'll be resolved.

This is happening to me as well on My Asus Chromebook C302CA (a current high end Chromebook), so maybe its a Chrome browser issue? Just speculating

Doubt it as the issue affects the FB app as well.

does it affect you multiple times in the same vid? Happens to me like every 5-7 seconds. Gets frustrating

Has anyone rooted their phone and flashed a custom ROM on it yet? My sister has been using it for a while and it's about time we root it and flash a debloated custom ROM.
Any luck with the root? Not looking for custom ROM but just the root.

Root is available for the snapdragon phones but last i checked your battery gets cut 20% and the install process is a bit involved.
No roms for it yet and i wouldn't expect any, best to get the international model if you want root and roms.

No Oreo Beta for Canada? I bought mine from Koodo and I haven't even received a security update lately.

I just got this phone and I'm looking for recommendations on a case and screen protector.

I currently have this thin case in mind. Does anyone here have this or know of something similar that would be a perfect fit for my S8?

I'm always buying new phones and have tried many different cases but for last 3 years my go to case is spigen thin fit. It doesn't add any bulk and looks and feels sleek. Protection from all sides. I've dropped my s8 plus countless times and no scratches on the case

The Spigen looks like it'll make using the fingerprint sensor harder than it already is. What's your experience like? My heart is still telling me to go for Samsung's thin case unless someone here gives me a good reason not to.
