Solid points. I may try to talk down the $500 Como but would be satisfied buying that one at that price. Still awaiting photos of the Ontario, which in a sick sort of way I am half-hoping is a counterfeit, which would explain the lack of photos on the original listing, and because we haven't seen any knockoffs in the authenticity thread yet.



Considering both the Como and Ontario are one size too large for me, and also because I don't need/want any more jackets, I will be flipping them. A small Como, which would likely be my size, might actually be a keeper since it's simplistic and a little more refined and elegant. I'm not hell-bent on finding one in my size though.

I actually just realized I am evilly playing both sides here.

On one hand, "those in the know" about how to hunt for deals pretty much know that I am very supportive of everybody getting as low a price as possible and obviously I've contributed some guides for people to educate themselves on how not to get scammed on fakes when hunting for deals on the genuine article. That is pretty much the whole ideology behind this very thread... we are seeking the lowest prices of the low.

On the other hand, I am also very public about selling my pickups for profit to those who basically will pay top dollar or who won't exercise enough patience to wait and pounce on the very low deals we love and share amongst each other.

Now, does this second action actually reinforce the high price mentality of these sorts of jackets, which we are really leaning toward the argument of, for example, Canada Goose not being worth a dollar more than, say, $400? The prime example of this is TheGZA's famous saying, "The Chilliwack is not worth $600" after next year's 18% price hike. If I hunt and get a hypothetical $250 Canada Goose and then flip it for $500 to the general public, other sellers may not want to sell for as low as $250 any more seeing as how they can similarly make a killing by simply increasing their asking price, which would snuff out more really low bargain bin prices to be found. By buying low and flipping high, are we biting the hand that feeds? Are we killing the Goose that's laying the golden egg?

I'm not doing this as a source of secondary income so I have no illusions about buying/selling mass quantities of jackets and paying off my house early, so I'm not gonna go kill myself if the market dries up, and the golden egg metaphor in the above paragraph is obviously exaggerated. I am simply unabashedly making the most of an opportunity based on the knowledge we share, and it's a little bit enjoyable and very educational at the same time.

Well, with all that established, I would keep the Como (if you are happy with the fit and it's to your liking) and flip the Ontario (if it turns out to be real) next season. I'd wait till then because I don't see the demand for CG waining next season plus you can sell at a higher price because it will cost more next season at retail. Also, even if you really like the Como for yourself, you could post it on Ebay and see what you'd get for it (maybe someone overseas will throw 1k at you for it ). That's what I would do with respect to both coats.

Might be fake.. The person used stock images.. If you're interested In buying then ask for real photos of the jacket!

Whoops, didn't mean to suggest in my previous postings that the Como was actually my size. Being a medium, it's likely two sizes too large for me, since I know I wear size XS in the "regular insulated" cut and the Loro Piana Collection being cut this way too.

If I do acquire that Como and Ontario, I'd be flipping both next season along with the $150 women's Chilliwack I got this past weekend. I'd have no trouble selling that Chilliwack, and I speculate that the Como could POTENTIALLY fetch higher than my original purchase price of $500 given its limited production, but that's shaky and I'm even less certain about speculating the Ontario since I haven't seen any on eBay's Completed Listings so there are no standards by which to judge the Como and Ontario.

Man, this is starting to feel like the stock market, speculating, buying-and-holding, etc.

Here's the funny thing about the Victoria. I think it's an elegant coat. In a men's form, it would actually pretty much be the ideal Canada Goose jacket for me with its minimalistic/simple look, longer cut, slim fit, LOW HANDWARMER POCKETS, removable fur ruff, etc. To get that stuff in one men's jacket, I had to turn to the CMFR Gormley. Anyway, I digress. I like the Victoria but you almost never hear it mentioned or being worn. Women seem to gravitate towards the Trillium, Kensington, and Chilliwack. Like the Ontario for men, I think it's underrated, which is nice, but could be a challenge to sell for profit. I don't know though, because I haven't seen enough of them on the secondhand market. what's funny is that she emailed me today and stated

funny thing is, she replied it through my email stating that i haven't heard from her in hours and I would be leaving downtown in 1 hour, so begging her to message me as soon as possible. LOL


I wrote to her letting her know that i messaged her 4-5 times during 4 hours span and got nothing, and I am doing it out of good faith and still willing to meet up.
