Buying with the purpose of reselling for profit is different than buying for the purpose of acquisition.
There have gotta be gents out there who wheel-and-deal handbags, jewellery, and other high priced women's goods. I don't see it as any different than a man who picks stock in companies that design and sell women's products. It's all about the money for people like zumi78878, who owns a giant stash of both men's and women's winter coats. And of course, I myself own one women's jacket, acquired extremely cheaply, to flip for a handsome sum in the upcoming autumn or winter.

[QUOTE=CanadaGooseForumAdmin;14755837]That's a nice price. You said you wouldn't purchase it but here's why someone else might. The fur is quite nice. Women's size small will sell easily as many women will fit into this demographic. Black is always an easy sell as well. $180 is a great price for a 9/10 condition jacket. The Chilliwack is also an instant seller.
I meant, whenever I buy jackets for acquisition, I buy the ones of my size (XS/S for mens). Incase for some reason it doesn't work out, I can always wear it myself. I wouldn't want to overstock by buying female/non-of-sized mens jackets as well, simply the purpose of resellinn for a profit.
But of course, I can assume that womens chilliwack would easily sell for 350+ next season, which is easily double profit. So i posted here for rfd if anyone wants to pull the trigger

I've seen photos of older Chilliwacks (for men) worn by women. Likely this was from a time before the women's Chilliwack was introduced, so the ladies had no choice but to get the men's version. That's likely why they were perceived as "unisex" way back when. Now that there's the women's model widely available, you occasionally see men wearing the women's ones.

That's totally fair. I can relate to that reason. I have chickened out on purchasing some VERY INEXPENSIVE authentic jackets ($80) for the sole reason that the size was ENORMOUS (XXXL). It'd be difficult to find a buyer for that, given the huge size.

Both men's and women's Chilliwacks will retail for $595 in the 2012-2013 season. While you could easily get $350+, I wouldn't be surprised if there are people DESPERATE to get one that they will pay close to that $600 for a SECOND-HAND one.
Does anyone here have dollar signs in their eyes yet? There's a reason I avoid retail Canada Goose like the plague and do my hunting on the second-hand market. While I'll never be as prolific a seller as zumi78878, I won't ever turn down the opportunity to make a few hundred bucks for a couple hours of work.

I've seen several Chilliwacks for <$200 now, but I haven't been interested in buying them to resell. I guess I don't want my cash tied up for months.

Meh I think its more socially acceptable for females to wear male clothing rather then males to wear female clothing.

Ahh I guess if he is selling it. But I find it amusing that a dude would buy a womens CG jacket to WEAR bc its a CG jacket. But to each its own.

What are we even talking about here? Nobody said they were going to buy a women's jacket to wear.

Welcome back! And you didn't bring me back a souvenir?

I thought we discussed that should one of us ever get our hands on an inexpensive fake Canada Goose, we would take it outside and cut it up to find out how it was made and what kind of fill was stuffed inside, all the while recording the event on video.

I have to disagree, XXS-XS are the most demanded sizes for women. Stores like XXI, those sizes are like an endangered species. And considering how big CG fits...well you get the idea.

Newbie
I never buy clothes/shoes from eBay. Too many counterfeits. Unless you have a REALLY keen eye, it's hard to detect a fake.
