Just filled out a painful survey about loyalty rewards programs. Really was not happy with all of the questions regarding merging PC plus and Optimum.

That is worrisome. I love Optimum and hope it doesn't change.
What kind of questions did they ask? Were you able to discern what time frame they might be looking at?

20X on milk has changed so it only applies to one bag of milk (used to apply to all)

A lot of changes has been done to earning Optimum points.

It used to be able to stack two or more coupons for bonus points but SDM/Pharmaprix woke up and only 'highest points' are awarded.
I have some experiences on such cases so I am beginning to spread out (separate) the purchases for bonus points.
Example:
1. $30 over 15x pts
2. 20x points on milk

milk $10
others $30
The calculated pts is 40x15=6k
not
10 x 20 for milk 2k
30 x 15 for others 4.5k

It automatically cancels the milk coupon on that single transaction if you loaded both coupons on your account.

Be careful if you cancel the whole transaction(purchase), all coupons that were loaded are un-usable.
Thanks but I was referring to a $1 off milk coupon that I seem to get every week, not the 20X points on milk coupon that I have heard others get.

So I was wondering if it's the total before or after this $1 coupon that is the threshold for the min. $20 spend.

A few weeks ago I was able to combine:

1. $1 off milk

and

2. 15X or 20X points with min. $20 spend.

$20 must be the total after Optimum offers and managers coupons but before manufacturer's coupons so you have to spend $21 before the $1 Optimum coupon is applied in this case.

Rules around milk have changed extremely recently, last 2 weeks or so. ymmv. I haven't tried to combine offers since but imoo2u is probably accurate.

Frankly, hate PC points from Loblaws as there ain't much bonus pts, not even regular pts.

I quit if Optimum pts merge into PC pts. Now, trying to reach 95k optimum pts to be ready for next bonus redemption event.

I was there on the 13th and bought 2 x 1% at $4.27 and 1 x homo at $5.99, received 760 pts under Digital EPROMO-NEILSON, thats 19X on $4. Really should have gotten 950 on account of the homo. Anyway my last purchase limited it to one.

My assumption is that the homo milk is not Neilson brand.
EPromo coupons are very specific on product name/brand.
Better read 'fine print' as most of us seem to ignore those wordings on coupons issued.
If not, guess they are changing the rule(s) again ie bonus pts applied to first item of 2 or more same products.

Nope all the milk was Neilson and it wasn';t one of the excluded products...fine print says:

Yes, you're right. My total today was $20.60 before $1 off milk and $19.60 after coupon. I didn't qualify for the 20X points for minimum $20 spend.

Next time I'll make sure it's over $20 incl. coupon. I wonder if I'll be able to use the $1 milk coupon and 20X points coupon at the same time. I'll report back.

I have a stupid question: I have 372,295 points worth $635.00. Can I use all $635.00 at once if I use all my points or do I have a maximum spend of $170.00 at a time if I use 95,000 points?

You have to do it $170 at a time, though there should be a bonus redemption around the end of November where you can get more for your points.

I was planning to try the following:

$15.95 on No Name/PC
$5.49 on 4L Milk
---------
$21.44

to take advantage of the following 3 offers:
4000 points on $15 worth of No Name/PC/participating brands
20x points on milk
15x points on $20 spend

Sounds like the 15x points on $20 would cancel out the 20x points on milk, but would I be able to stack the 4000 bonus points and 15x the points in this scenario?

Just to add...

I believe you have to do it one transaction at a time now (although in the early days of the Optimum Program, i seem to recall you could stack withdrawals onto one purchase / receipt)... As it is now, you'd need to look for things to add up to a minimum of $ 170 for each transaction (cashing in 95,000 points... For the best points value / reward).

But I don't believe there is a daily maximum in how much, or how many times you cash in per day.

I agree with @lecale If your strategy is to cash in a nice sum of points, then it would be to your advantage to do it on a Bonus Redemption weekend (example cash in 95,000 points for $ 170 and get back 22,000 in points = $ 30)*

* Numbers based on February 2017 Redemption Bonus Weekend
Points back bonus "may have" been higher during November 2016 Black Friday Redemption Bonus Weekend (30,000 points ?)... Just having a hard time finding actual proof for that promo.

Did you try it?

I was trying to stack:
4000 points on $15 worth of no name/pc/etc
20x points on milk
3000 points on $20 spend
I also have the 15x on $20 spend

I spent about $26, but in the end I only got the 4000pts and 20x points on milk.
While ringing the total on the screen I could see there were 4 promotional coupons applied but I guess the 4000 points cancelled out the spend over $20 coupons? I'm not sure. Not sure if I should call to complain.

4000 points "when you buy" $15 PC won't stack with another "when you buy" offer :(
