I'm still confused. So if I have:

15x points on any Clean & Clear product and
Spend $10 get 2000 points

Are these stackable?
Yes, the "spend $x.xx get xx points" and the product specific points offers stack. At least once a month I get a 15x or 20x coupon the same week as a 20x offer for milk, so I buy my milk for the month at 35-40x the points :)

You get base points on prescriptions.

I have also had 15 X + points on items from the home health center.

The only way to get DOUBLE your points on prescriptions is by pre-purchasing a Shoppers card.
So saying that your prescription is $ 100 then you get 1000 points.

BUT if you buy a $ 100 gift card : you get 1000 points.
Then use the gift card to pay for your prescription : that is 1000 + 1000 = 2000 points for your prescription.
Or DOUBLE the points.

Double points is better than Base points !

Damn only base points.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to keep my eye out for a home health centre one and try to refill my prescriptions around then.

To maxmimize points with prescriptions :
1. If it is a purchase like compression socks, crutches etc... from the Home Health line - it is considered a regular purchase. So if you have a 15 X or 20 X coupon loaded then it works. I am actually surprised at this... and feel it may be shut down. I bought Sigvaris compression socks- total $ 449 and with a loaded coupon got back 66,000 Points. Unbelievable. I was literally skipping out of the store... but at the same time I felt it was not quite right.

2. Use SDM gift cards for all purchases - everything ! Including Home Health and Pharmacy. You get full Base points on the card- so this effectively give you 1X more than you would... EG. 20X goes to 21X... It does not seem like much but on expensive prescriptions it can add up.

3. Pay for you SDM card with your points card MasterCard or Air Miles MasterCard- heck, ANY mastercard ! where you can get a % back in cash or for travel. Do not pay cash. This again is not huge but can add up.

Do you always get 1000 pts for purchasing SDM gift card?

Shoppers offers their own gift cards with Optimum points ( base level ).
So SDM gift cards only... they come in many sizes...and loadable.

I don't believe they offer Optimum points on other gift card such as Old Navy, Koodo etc....just Shoppers Gift Cards.

So, it you buy a $100 SDM GC- you get 1000 optimum points,
a $ 200 GC - then 2000 optimum points
$ 500 in GC - then 5000 Optimum points......

and so it goes....

I'll rephrase: Only some provinces issue points for prescriptions, Ontario is not one of them. Neither is AB or QC and I think BC. It's prohibited by law.

I guess in that case the only way to get points would be to use a Shopper gift card for payment.

I am from Nova Scotia and it is allowed. Base points only.

Anone have "loading an offer" not work?

I got an email offer of 15X points if I spend $30 or more this past Friday.
Loaded the offer on Thursday at my computer at home.

Went to Shoppers on Friday, purchased eligible items for $35.- but at the cash the 15X points offer did not show up with my Optimum card.
Luckily I had also printed the offer and had it with me.
Cashier put it in that way and it worked fine.

If I hadn't prnted the offer I would have been out the bonus points!
