I don't see any indication of this deal.

Costco has a $15/per tire off/rebate and free winter mats. I think this ends around Sept 27, 2009. It is for executive members only.

Great post. I think I will make use of the Yokohama rebate. Only because I was planning on buying the Yokohama winter tires already. I'm not a fan of mail in rebates but something is better than nothing. Plus, this one is a bit vague, upto $100 gift card from a Canadian Retailer.
? Looking over the rebate form, it looks like you get to choose a retailer only after mailing in the rebate. So 6-8 weeks after mailing in the rebate, they will mail you another form where you choose the gift card retailer you want and then another 4-6 weeks after to get the gift card. Total of 14 weeks.
That's a long wait.

Fountain Tire has a "4 for 3" tire sale on select Goodyear tires. The promotion runs from September 14 through October 24, 2009.

The only tire I've found on their website qualifying is the Assurance TripleTred, a highly-regarded all-season. There may be others I haven't yet stumbled across.

Yeah. That appears to be accurate. I was also considering Yokohama tires for at least 1 of my cars needing winter rubber, and also noticed that it seems like a strange way and very slow way to conduct the offer.
I made this composite image from the Yokohama rebate form and the rebate details page:

I count 8 retailers, none of which are of any interest to me. Now the fine print does say: "Card not exactly as shown", so I was hoping perhaps I could find some info naming the actual retailers that I might be able to choose from. However, the rebate form's fine print says you will get to "select from one of six different gift card retailers" - but remembering that Old Navy AND Banana Republic are Gap owned stores, that's 6:
- Cineplex
- Gap / Banana Republic / Old Navy
- The Keg
- Rona
- Chapters/Indigo/Coles
- Golf Town
I think I'll probably pass.
PS: As stated on the Page#1 update, both Goodyear & Dunlop (which Goodyear owns most of) have an INSTANT REBATE on right now (link). For Dunlop Winter Sport 3D/M3, it's $80 off on a set of 4, for the Graspic DS3, it's only $50, and for the Goodyear winter rubber, it's $40-$100 depending on the tire. But as neither Dunlop.ca or Goodyear.ca have MSRP pricing listed (and as hardly any independent tire retailer ever sells at MSRP), if you're shopping around for tire quotes, after you get a quote, you really need to ask "What's your REGULAR PRICE on that tire?". If they go "huh?", then you know they're not passing on the savings as they should be!

This may have been covered, but can the Fountain Tire 4 for 3 be combined with the mail in or instant rebate being offered currently by Goodyear? That would give an extra $50 off.
